Cate and Mia

This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting cousins, Baby Cate and Baby Mia. Both were home visiting grandma when they were finally able to meet each other for the first time.  Mia lives in France and Cate lives in Washington, D.C. They are very close in age– Baby Cate is three weeks old and Baby Mia is three months old.  This weekend they attended their first wedding wearing matching dresses!!

Here are some photos of Baby Mia and Baby Cate!

It was fabulous meeting the girls! Absolutely adorable!

Happy Birthday Mom

Today was a great Monday. The sun was shining and it finally felt like summer is around the corner. I feel very blessed for the little things in life right now. Yesterday was my first Mother’s Day without my mom. Two amazing friends joined me in walking the Y Me race yesterday morning. It brought mixed emotions. Sadness that my mom wasn’t a lucky survivor. But as I walked and saw all the people supporting loved ones… I was proud at the fighter my mom was. I have learned that although the road of cancer was a difficult road for our family, especially my mom, I am proud at the road we had and how we chose to travel our journey. My family was very blessed for the time that we were granted with my mom. I also feel very fortunate that my family stood by her side until her last breath. I am proud of my family for planning a beautiful celebration for her. Her favorite songs, singer, Isabelle Blooms, pictures, friends, and families were all present representing many of my moms favorite things.

As I sit here thinking about what would have been her 57th birthday tomorrow, I feel very fortunate for the wonderful 56 years we did have with mom. While I wish it could have been longer, I look forward to day when we will meet her beautiful smile again.

Happy Birthday Mom. I hear in Heaven — you don’t grow old :) or wear glasses!!

Love you!

Holden

I can’t believe it has been six months since I photographed Holden in his mommy’s belly!! He has grown up so much and is turning into quite the little guy. He is just adorable. This hat– totally makes me see Mr. Gavin DeGraw in him — which his parents and I have attended countless concerts together.

Holden has the biggest, most prettiest eyes. Just perfect! This is one of my favorite shoots from the day. I just love this outfit, especially the hat. That smile — just priceless. This next outfit represents the love Holden has for Soccer. Holden’s dad was a soccer player when he was in high school. I am sure Holden will be just as good if not a better soccer player then his daddy! You forget how flexible you are when you are a baby. Holden just loves to grab his feet and bring them up to his mouth. Nothing better then toes as a pacifier!!Leo and Holden have somewhat of a love hate relationship. They sure do love each other as you can tell in Leo’s Eyes in this picture.

But when Leo sits next to his brother…. it can often be pretty painful. Just a handful of hair and a pinch is almost always accompanied with a visit close to his brother.

I think Holden’s favorite part of the photo shoot was the time he spent in the basket!! He was very content hanging out in there!!

As the shoot started to wind down — we spent some time in Holden’s nursery. He couldn’t have been any cuter sitting in his crib just hanging out.

Holden has so many stuffed animals… he adores them

I had a great time capturing your memories!!! Can’t wait to continue to see you grow up into a little man!

Hugs,

Kim

Isabelle and Grace Cont…

I posted some pictures of Grace last time….. now for the birthday girl. She turned “3″ the day after our shoot. When arriving at the babysitters to pick Belle up, she was so cute…. and seemed so ready for her pictures. But once arriving at the farm, she wasn’t so into them. Grace went first while we waited patiently for Isabelle to warm. I have to admit. It was extremely cold!!

Warming up a little more– Thankfully Mom AND Grandma were there making her smile.

She even started dancing!! AND she loved the foot up pose :)

This bench is so neat! I love the wheels as arms!

But she could only take so much cold weather. And boy was it cold. We fought between sun that wasn’t very warm and wind tunnel shade.

Thank Goodness we were able to get a couple pictures of the sister together!!

And that’s a wrap!

The reward—- an OREO cookie!!! And boy was it good!

So good to see the Kremer family again!

Grace

This past week when I was in my hometown, I photographed one of my favorite families children. This post is just pics of Grace. I must say that she was a TROOPER. It was soooo cold on the farm. I tried so hard to shoot in the shade, but every patch of shade we entered appeared to be a wind tunnel. Grace is 9 months weighing in at 30 pounds :) (compared to 3 year old sister at 38 pounds)

I was thrilled at how many great photos we took during this session- although the sun was out, it wasn’t quite great weather for outside photos for a 9 month old. But she did fantastic!!

Here are some of Ms. Grace’s photos:

Look at those beautiful blue eyes—LOVE

A happy baby– I don’t think she realized how cold it was yet!

A farm baby at heart!

Stay tuned to see pics of her gorgeous big sister who just turned “3″!!!

Maddie and Olivia turn 5

My dearest nieces marked one of their very first milestones, turning 5!  They are growing up so fast. I have enjoyed seeing them blossom into the cutest little girls. Today they had their birthday party with friends from preschool at Morkes Chocolate. This was such a cute birthday idea. They had a little room where the kids became chocolate creators.

They started off making chocolate pizza. Maddie and Olivia picked out the pizza toppings (gummy bears for sausage). One by one the kids piled on candy sausage, cheese (white chocolate), green peppers (sprinkles) until their pizza master pieces were complete. Then they moved on to making ice cream cones. The kids first put in all their sprinkles and candies before they poured chocolate and white chocolate over them. Last, they made and decorated pretzels. Look at these fabulous creations!!

All the kids were busy at work. Eating candy and licking chocolate off their spoons as they worked. The mothers helped their children put the final touches on.

And after we concluded all the chocolate making, eating pizza and cake began. Happy 5th Birthday Maddie and Olivia.

Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate!!

Love a very proud aunt,

Me

Meet an angel, Zack

Zack’s mom and I work together. She was over enjoyed when she found out that she was expecting. Little did she know, Baby Zack would make his appearance into the world way before expected. Zack was born at 29 weeks. He was only 3 pounds. He has been a fighter since the day he was born. Zack came home when he was almost 2 months old. Today, I finally got to meet this little miracle baby.

Zack is absolutely that a miracle. What a handsome little prince. He was so alert not wanting to keep his hands still :) He slept in very short spurts and gave a little twitch with every click on the camera.

Introducing….

Mom is so in love — as she should be :)

Sometimes I think I could shoot 1,000 pictures of hands and feet!

But Zach didn’t stay sleeping for long. I think he just wanted to show off his beautiful blue eyes!

I am so glad I finally got to meet him. What a strong little guy and family! Congrats to baby Zach!
